Membership Fee and Forms
How much does it cost to Part of MKISC? Full Skating membership Enables the skater to skate at any or all of the Friday night sessions which includes 45 minutes of group tuition. Single - £28 per month (For members paying by standing order the price has been reduced to £26 per month from 1st March 2010 due to reduced ice time) Joint - £46 per month Family (3-5 people) - £59 per month Non-Skating Guardian Membership – £1 per year Is open to those acting in a non-skating supporting role who are acting as guardian for a Full or Associate member under the age of 16 years of age, who pay an annual membership fee to the club. Non-Skating Guardian membership gives the member gives voting rights at AGM’s & EGM’s. Associate Membership – £12 per year These members will pay an annual membership fee to the club. Associate membership entitles the member to skate at any or all of the Friday night club sessions by paying the casual skating membership weekly fee of £7; gives the member a discounted rate for club events, competitions and clothing; gives voting rights at AGM’s & EGM’s for members over the age of 16 years. Members will also be kept informed about as many ice skating competitions, events, patch times etc. as possible (subject to the club being informed about these matters). Casual Skating Membership – £8 per week Allows the skater to attend one Friday club sessions with coaching. Skaters may pay the casual skating membership weekly fee for up to 4 sessions, before joining the club as either a Full or Associate Member. Casual skating members do not have voting rights at AGM’s & EGM’s. Associate members continue to pay the casual skating membership weekly fee when they attend club sessions.

NISA Membership
To be able to take NISA (National Ice Skating Association) tests and therefore take part in open competitions above beginner level you must become a NISA (National Ice Skating Association) member. It costs £48.50 for over 18's and £43 for under 18's. These prices are payable annually. Please click on the following link to download or print a form.

NISA Tests
After the Skate UK and the Skate Star Levels you will move onto NISA Tests. To pass all of one level 3 parts must be taken, they include: Field moves, Elements and Free Programme. The field moves do not run in conjunction with the levels (so you could be at NISA Level 1 and have level 8 Field moves for example.) Also to move to the next level you only require either Elements or Free Programme but most people toke both incase they don't pass and they can still move up a level just by having either elements or free programme.
